Welcome to the NCA tools website
This website is to be used throughout the 2015 to 2016 national curriculum assessment cycle for all test administration.
11 February 2016
You should only be accessing this site
if you have been given STA permission
To log in, enter your registered email address and password then select 'Log in'.
Your registered email address is the email address used to access NCA tools during the 2015 to 2016 assessment cycle. Web-based email addresses (such as Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo) cannot be used on this website.
Headteachers and local authority super users should review nominated users within their organisation to ensure they should continue to have access to NCA tools.
All passwords will be reset at the end of September 2015. When you log in for the first time after that, you will be prompted to change your password.
All passwords for NCA tools must contain at least eight characters and include three of the following:
one uppercase character (eg A, B, C)
one lowercase character (eg a, b, c)
one numeric character (eg 1, 2, 3) and/or
one special character (eg £, &, *).
For example: Security#2
All new users will need to create a new password. To do this, you will need to:
click on the 'Create new password' link in the 'Log in' section
enter your registered email address and select 'Submit'
go to your inbox for this registered email address
click on the unique link in the email that will enable you to reset your password
in the new screen, check that your email address is correct, enter a new password and then enter it again to confirm before selecting 'Submit'.
Emails from NCA tools
We are aware that some users have been experiencing difficulties receiving system-generated emails from the NCA tools website, including the emails that allow users to create a new password.
To make sure you receive emails from the NCA tools website, please ensure your ICT department accepts all email addresses ending in 'education.gov.uk'. If your system cannot be amended to accept all emails from NCA tools, please ensure that email@example.com is added to your organisation's safe senders email list. Including these email addresses on the safe senders email list will allow emails to be sent straight through to recipients and not blocked by spam filters.
For support using NCA tools, contact the national curriculum assessments helpline on 0300 303 3013, email firstname.lastname@example.org or typetalk 18001 0370 000 2288.
