The new Standards and Testing Agency (STA) is responsible for the development and delivery of statutory assessment and tests.  The STA is an executive agency of the Department for Education.



Welcome to the NCA tools website(s)

This website is to be used throughout the 2012 National Curriculum test cycle for all test administration.

Logging in

To log in, enter your registered email address and password then select 'Log in'.

Your registered email address is the email address used to access NCA tools during the 2011 test cycle. Web-based email addresses (such as Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo) can not be used on this website.

Headteachers and local authority super users should review nominated users within their organisation to ensure they should continue to have access to NCA tools.

Passwords

All passwords from 2011 have been cancelled. When you log in for the first time in the 2012 test cycle, you will be prompted to change your password.

All passwords for NCA tools must contain at least eight characters and include three of the following:

  • one uppercase character (eg A, B, C) 
  • one lower case character (eg a, b, c) 
  • one numeric character (eg 1, 2, 3) and/or 
  • one special character (eg £, &, *).

All new users will need to create a new password. To do this, you will need to:

  • click on the 'Create new password' link in the 'Log in' section
  • enter your registered email address and select 'Submit' 
  • go to your inbox for this registered email address 
  • click on the unique link in the email that will enable you to reset your password 
  • in the new screen, check that your email address is correct, enter a new password and then enter it again to confirm before selecting 'Submit'.
